Potato Head Beach Club makes its grandeur mark at one of Bali’s prestige location surrounded by some of the best restaurants, bars, and retail. “We wanted to create something original from Indonesia that could be seen and enjoyed by the Indonesian and international audience. As a local venture, we wanted to make our presence felt within the international scene and Bali seems to be the perfect stepping stone,” says co-owner Ronald Akili.
The Potato Head Beach Club (the name is nothing if not memorable) comes from the people behind the acclaimed Potato Head Jakarta. The club opened its doors in late 2010 in one of Bali’s most prestigious addresses, smack bang on the beach. It’s a sprawling venue encompassing a number of restaurant and bar spaces. The venture of a pair of international art collectors, it’s a deeply stylish space, dramatic in design, part art gallery, part lounge bar, part beach club. The elegant Li Lin restaurant serves an array of superb seafood dishes, the experience enhanced by the glorious views of the Indian Ocean. As in the Jakarta mothership, the cocktails are a high-point and the location can’t be bettered.
